What Is a Sprinkler Zone?
A sprinkler zone is a group of sprinkler heads that operate together at the same time. Every residential irrigation system is divided into zones so the system can water different areas of your property efficiently without exceeding the available water pressure or flow.

When the valve closes, pressure is removed and the sprinkler heads retract into the ground.
How Many Sprinkler Heads Should Be on a Zone?
